Well folks, it's been awhile since I let people know what I've been up to.? It turns out I don't have cancer at all, but have been expecting twins for over a year! The tumor on my lung turned to be Timmy's giant head and the pet scan just showed what Shaniqua looks like--look out Tyra!? I got me some beautiful kids on the way---anybody know how I got pregnant?????
Okay, time for serious:? May 10th and May 18 I received cord donor stem cell transplant.? The first came from a family from colorado and the second donor i don't know anything about. The second donor was used just incase there wan't enough juice from the first one.
Before the stem cell transplant, I underwent a lot of chemo and full body radiation--my nipples glowed in the dark (this is actually a natural survival ability that Armenian men have anyway.)? Anyway, these two proceedures (chemo and radiation, not my nipples) destroyed my immune system.? With the transplant, my immune system, blood and dna were completely replaced by my donors stem cells.? I know this sounds? super freaky sci-fi, but since my body wasn't attacking the cancer, this new addition to me should help lead me towards a cure.
I just had a pet/ct scan two days ago and it went well.? The big tumor on my lung (that's right, Timmy's big ol head) has shrunk a lot (when I was first diagnosed, the tumor was a size of a grapefruit (yikes!).? Sine it has shrunk though, they found a small spot on my breast bone.? Now, I about pooped my pants when I heard that info, but my doctor and the radialogist didn't seem too concerned.? One idea is that it was there all along and will die on it's own.? Or if while they are watching it and it starts to show activity, then focused radiation should do it.
Well, that's all from planet Keilany.? All my docotrs and nurses say I'm kicking but--and I intend to till I beat this damn thing all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?? Well, my friends, much love to you all and I'll leave you with this last question: Since some of you have seen my pic without hair, do I loook a little like that guy that charlotte dated in Sex and City who liked to sit on her furniture naked??
